Recently, I shared a very aggressive financial goal that I wanted to achieve by summer. I immediately wrote down the goal and began to draft my plan to reach the goal on paper. It took some time to think about those types of work that I really enjoy doing.  After all, work is work.  You know, that four-letter word that seems to shadow every day of our lives.

Since the time I shared the goal, I have been making time every day to think about that personal goal that I set, and I continue to jot down the many ideas of ways to make money in order to achieve the goal.

As you will read in the following lines; though I have not arrived to my personal goal yet, I have started and am definitely on my way.  I want to keep you in the loop with the progress with hopes that:

1.  I will remain accountable in order to keep thinking, jotting, and doing.
2.  You will be encouraged and challenged to begin moving yourself toward your goal.

MY EARNINGS: 

April 2013:  $1,100.00
$900.00   Commission earned from a business referral program
$200.00   Freelance revenue to help a client with research

Though I still have a long way to go before I reach my $10,000 per month goal, I am encouraged.  A few weeks ago, I was earning no additional income.  This month, I received my first big step toward the goal.  Next month, I leap to the next step with an estimated $2,000.00 coming in additional income.

MAY 2013:     $1,800.00 (estimate)
$1,200.00   confirmed income from a promotional campaign that I had helped create for a client
$   400.00   confirmed commission coming from another business referral program
$   200.00   potential freelance revenue to help a client with more research

Looking ahead, I have been working through these ideas that I trust will be substantial steps moving me toward my monthly goal.

1.  NICHE WESITE.  After a few weeks of due diligence, I have discovered what I think to be a profitable niche product.  I plan to create a niche website that will hopefully generate a growing passive income stream for me.  I’ll keep you posted on the progress.

2.  BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP.  I am very excited about this one.  I am currently in discussions with a business partner who has asked me to join him to help get his new company started.  With a couple of proposals already in the works, this project has the potential to quickly move me toward the monthly goal.   Stay tuned.
